The wooden wine cask comprises a body closed by two bottoms each comprising an assembly of parallel laths (2). The laths' side faces (3) are in sealed contact and have in a plane perpendicular to the laths longitudinal direction two longitudinal complementary sections (8,9) which are force fitted into each other. The first of the sections comprises a first part (8a) inclined to the laths' thickness direction and a first female part (8c) extending towards the lath interior. The second section comprises a second inclined part (9a) and a second male part (9c) complementary to the first female part.
