PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine which can easily discard the extracting sediment in a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The coffee beans are supplied on a piston 39 in an extracting cylinder 32 and covered by a cap 37. Then the hot water is supplied to the coffee beans which are fixed between the cap 37 and the piston 39 and the coffee drink is extracted. The coffee beans are compressed by the piston 39 to obtain a solid body, which is exhausted from the cylinder 32 by the piston 39.
