<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable handwriting input like direct writing to the handwriting surface of a handwriting input device with a writing tool by providing a magnetic field producing means, which is so constituted as to draw a trace by making a magnetic field operate on the handwriting surface of a display means, atop of a pen. SOLUTION: The handwriting input device is equipped with a pen, a display means and a detecting means. The pen is a stylus pen having a magnet 12 as a magnetic field producing means and an electromagnetic coil as a coordinate imparting means built in its tip 11. In the center part of the pen tip 11 which is circularly sectioned and tapered, a permanent magnet 12 is built which is circularly sectioned and has specific length, and the tip of the permanent magnet 12 is machined in conformity with the curved surface of the pen tip 11. The pen for handwriting input is useful when the detecting means is so constituted as to detect a coordinate position in response to the pressure from the pen and the pen tip part which is formed in the curved surface shape applies pressure to the detecting means to give coordinate positions along the trace of the pen.</p> |
