<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an image expressed by an image file even when that image file is attached to electronic mail received by a portable telephone. SOLUTION: An electronic mail file is received by a portable telephone and characters expressed by text data are displayed on the display screen of the portable telephone (step 62). When an image file is attached to the received electronic mail file (step 63), it is inquired from the portable telephone to a digital still camera whether the image of that image file can be displayed or not. When the image can be displayed on the camera, the image file is transmitted to the camera (step 67). The image expressed by the image file is displayed on the display screen of the camera (step 74).</p> |
