PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-magnetic one-component color toner hardly causing defects such as rising of image density and collapse of thin lines by establishing a specified relation among the average particle size W (unit:μm) in the weight distribution, the average particle size N (unit:μm) in the number distribution and the distribution ratio (a) (unit: %) in the particle size range to which N belongs. SOLUTION: The toner to be used is managed by the particle size range by measuring the toner particle distribution so that the relational expression: (N×a)/W>=30 (%) is satisfied among W, N and (a) in the particle size range to which N belongs. Since this toner has little in fluctuation of the average particle size, the electrification amount is stable, a toner selection phenomenon can be restrained and an initial-stage defective image having fogging, defective cleaning, etc., is hardly caused. The defects such as the rising of image density and the collapse of thin lines can be eliminated even at the life test of continuous printing. This non-magnetic one-component color toner is composed of a binder resin such as a polyester resin, an electrification control agent such as an dyestuff of an iron-azo compound complex, a coloring agent such as a dis-azo pigment and an additive.
|
