摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up cell search without increasing circuit scale and power consumption by making diffusion ratio of a long code mask symbol smaller than the diffusion ratio of other parts of a perch channel when a mobile terminal is transferred to other base station areas. SOLUTION: When the cell search is performed by using the long code mask symbol, transmission is performed by inserting sections of the long code mask symbol of the perch channel to perform communication with the diffusion ratio of 256 into, for example, an optional section with the diffusion ratio of 64 partitioned into four sections so as not to multiplex a common short code(CSC) and a group identification short code(GISC). In this case, each kind of transmission power of CSC and GISC is defined as twice as the transmission power of the perch channel, the transmission power of other sections are defined as no signal and reception sensitivity is secured without increasing accumulative transmission power. Thus, time to be required for timing identification is easily shortened by making the diffusion ratio of the long code mask symbol smaller.
