PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning system having a high efficiency of removal of a substance to be removed which is contained in air, and enabling efficient removal of a gaseous substance to be removed even when the concentration of this substance is low particularly. SOLUTION: This system is equipped with an ice making unit 1 and, by bringing air into direct contact with granular ice 3 obtained by this ice making unit, the air is cooled and also purified, with the granular ice used as a filter medium, in a radiator 16 of an ice-air direct contact type. Then, contaminated water 4a wherein a substance to be removed is dissolved or mixed through the purification is purified further by a water treating means comprising a first treating part 157 and a second treating part 18.
