PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device by which data are efficiently transferred at a high speed by recording data to be recorded in an optical disk on an outer periphery. SOLUTION: An optical disk device 10 records and reproduces data on an optical disk 11 and is provided with a data storage control part 28 for executing control to record recording data at the outermost peripheral side of the data recording region of the disk 1 or from the spot shifted from the innermost peripheral side of the data already recorded at the outer periphery of a data recording area of the disk 11 to the further inner side by the data size of recorded data.
