PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrical connector that can provide a stable resistance value and allows flow of large currents, etc., by reducing its volume resistivity and contact resistance. SOLUTION: A multilayer tube 4 is formed by spraying, etc., of plastic layers 3 on the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical, insulating elastomer 1, and a plurality of ring grooves 5 are arranged in an axially equally spaced, side-by- side relationship with one another on the plastic layers 3 of the multilayer tube 4. The elastomer 1 is exposed from each ring groove 5 and the plurality of plastic layers 3 on the multilayer tube 4 are covered with thin conductive plating layers 6 of gold. A pair of unvulcanized rubber sheets 7 are axially bonded to the plurality of conductive plating layers 6, and after each rubber sheet 7 is heatedly vulcanized to form a protective rubber sheet 7 of great hardness, the multilayer tube 4 is axially cut at predetermined equal intervals to manufacture an electric connector.
