PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a surface of a film with function coating from being damaged by corner parts of a packing material at the time of storing or packing, in cases where the film with functional coating is stuck on a surface of a panel (a surface of a glass face). SOLUTION: In this cathode-ray tube 1a, a surface protecting film 7a is stuck on a film 4a with function coating on a surface of a panel 2. The surface protecting film 7a has a disposition not to slip easily on the film 4a with functional coating but to slip easily on a packing material. Specifically, as the surface protecting film 7a, a film is used that is formed of a polyolefinic material or a polyethylenic material of the type not causing calcium carbonate to disperse.
