PURPOSE: A low temperature cofiring dielectrics ceramic composition is provided, to enhance the dielectric constant, to reduce the dielectric loss, and to reduce the cost in the making of multilayered or planar devices. CONSTITUTION: The dielectrics ceramic composition comprises Ba5Nb4O15 and BaNb2O6 in the ratio of(1-x) : x by weight, wherein x is 0 or 1; and 7 wt% of B2O3 or V2O5 or less. Also the dielectrics ceramic composition comprises Ba5Nb4O15 and(Ba1-Sry)Nb2O6 in the ratio of(1-x) : x by weight, wherein x is 0 or 1; and 7 wt% of B2O3 or V2O5 or less. Optionally the composition comprises further 0.01-10 wt% of one compound selected from Bi2O3, WO3, ZnO, NiO, CuO, LiF, SiO2, SnO2, Y2O3, P2O5 and Sb2O5. The composition is sintered at 800-950 deg.C for the cofiring with an Ag or Ag/Pd electrode, and at 925-1275 deg.C under the oxygen partial pressure less than 10-5 atm for the cofiring with a Cu or Ni electrode.
