PURPOSE: To provide a paper container which is most suitable for use of storing or packaging of either foods or perishable foodstuffs by a method wherein either a deodoring function or humidity adjusting function is applied to paper material of a paper container. CONSTITUTION: A paper material 3 provided with a charcoal coated layer 2 having charcoal powder coated on its surface is applied to form a paper container 1 by this paper material 3 with the charcoal coated layer 2 being applied as an inner layer, resulting in that it is possible to prevent odor from being attached to the foods due to deodoring function and humidity adjusting function, taste of foods is not reduced and at the same time, freshness of the perishable foodstuffs can be kept for a long period of time.
