A coolant for an air-bag gas generator with fewer axial density points although compressed in an axial direction, the coolant comprising an axially compressed molded body consisting of wires, wherein an absolute value of the difference between a radial pressure loss in the axial upper-half and that in the axial lower-half is up to 10 mmH2O at a flow rate of 250 L/min under the atmosphere of 20 DEG C.
