The invention relates to an electronic device, especially a device for carrying out an optical recording, comprises a laser diode, a monitor diode and a control circuit for controlling the power of the laser diode. Said control circuit comprises a processing branch that conveys a power specified value, an inverted node inside the control circuit, and compensation means for compensating the frequency response of the monitor diode. The aim of the invention is to improve the controlling behavior.
