The doorbell module has a push-button head (80) for operating an electric push-button switch (70) and an illuminated name plate, using a light source with a number of LED's (11) mounted on a printed circuit board (10), fitted into a doorbell housing together with the nameplate housing (30). The doorbell housing is provided on one small side with a seating for the push-button head, with the switch mounted on the underlying part of the printed circuit board. The nameplate (50) is fitted between transparent upper and lower panels (40,60) fitted in the nameplate housing above a light reflector (20) receiving the LED's.
