Security lock for window has profiled locking tabs on the window mounted lock gripping into profiled slots in a hollow shaped catch on the window frame

A security lock for a window prevents the window being lifted out of its mountings when partly opened. A U-shaped strip (12) with several profiled slots forms the catch fitted onto the window frame. The lock mechanism, fitted to the window, has several shaped locking tags (15) bent at right angles via a curved section to the main locking plate. The T-shaped tags lock into the slots of the catch and enable the window to swing open as well as to tilt into a small venting setting. In either setting the catch secures the window and prevents it being lifted out of its mountings.
