External preparations for dermatosis containing nitroimidazole derivatives of general formula (I): wherein R<1>, R<3> and R<4> are each independently hydrogen, nitro, lower alkyl, substituted lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, or substituted lower alkenyl; and R<2> is hydrogen, lower alkyl, substituted lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, or substituted lower alkenyl, with the proviso that one or more of R<1>, R<3> and R<4> are nitro.
