<p>One of the breathing passageways of a twin snorkel is blocked or absent, so that the snorkel retains the advantage of a twin-tube snorkel with respect to stability on the swimmer's head, and retains the advantage of a single-tube snorkel with respect to ease of clearing it of water. A breathing tube (2) of a snorkel has a bend (42) part-way along its length and is adjustable in angular position around its axis relative to a mouthpiece (8) so that the position of the tube alongside the swimmer's head (44) can be adjusted, and so that, in the case of a twin-tube snorkel, the spacing between the tubes (2, 10) can be adjusted.</p> |
