The invention relates to an intake tube, especially serving as an air induction tube in the intake tract of an internal combustion engine, which has an aperture that can be shifted in front of individual tube segments (10) that form the total cross-section of the intake tube. The tube segments (10) are separated from one another by partitions (27). The total cross-section of the intake tube can be incrementally reduced in this manner by turning an opening (16). The adjusting element has simple dimensions which permit it to be easily manufactured. A sealing is effected by a gap located between the partitions (27) and the aperture (15) of the adjusting element (14). This results in extremely small adjusting forces for actuating the adjusting element. The adjusting element can be easily driven, for example, by an electric motor.
