A diffuser of a Diffuser Augmented Turbine (DAT) adapted to surround the rotor of a turbine for wind or underwater application having an aerofoil like cross sectional shape (10) and wherein there are provided one or more inlets (20) on the nose (12) and/or the exterior surface (13) of the diffuser and a plurality of exits (24) provided on the interior surface (11) of the diffuser.
