<p>A resin composition containing a liquid-crystalline polymer and capable of stably giving molded articles in which the liquid-crystalline polymer has been converted to fibers to produce an extraordinarily high reinforcing effect and which have excellent mechanical strength. The thermoplastic resin composition comprises (A) 99 to 50 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polyester resin not forming an anisotropic molten phase, (B) 1 to 50 parts by weight of a liquid-crystalline polymer capable of forming an anisotropic molten phase, and (C) 0.001 to 2.0 parts by weight of at least one member selected among monesters and diesters of oxophosphoric acids represented by general formulae (I and II), provided that the sum of the components (A and B) is 100 parts by weight. In the formulae (I and II), n is 1 or 2; X is hydrogen, hydroxy, or a monovalent organic group, and the X's may be the same or different when n is 2; and R is a monovalent organic group, and the R's may be the same of different when n is 1.</p> |
