VIDEO DISTRIBUTION AND DISPLAY CONTROL SYSTEM

A video information service system comprises a control video generating unit (1), video control units (2), video monitors (3), and video transmission channels connecting the units. The video outputted from the control video generating unit (1) is composed of a display video displayed on video monitors (3) and a control video comprising an identification number for specifying a video control unit (2) and a control command. The control video generating unit (1) places the display video after the control video, and continuously transmits the video through the same video transmission channel to distribute the control video and the display video to the video control units (2). Each video control unit (2) detects the control video received from the video generating unit (1) and analyzes the identification number and the contents of the control command. If the identification number agrees with the own identification number, the video control unit (2) controls the video displayed on the video monitor (3) in accordance with the contents of the control command.
