<p>A method of recording time-division multiplexed video information about N channels of e.g., broadcasting on an optical disk wherein the data compression ratio of video information about each channel is so determined that the sum of the quantities of data on image information to be recorded in a unit time for the N channels may be almost constant irrespective of the number of channels (N), and images are recorded at the compression ratio. Another mode of recording time-division multiplexed video information about N channels of e.g., broadcasting on an optical disk is disclosed wherein the intervals between the frames to be recorded are so determined that the sum of the numbers of image frames of the N channels to be recorded in a unit time may be almost constant irrespective of the number of channels (N), the frames of each channel are thinned so as to realize the determined intervals, and video information about each channel is recorded on an optical disk.</p> |
