A binding machine for reinforcing bars comprising a binding machine body (105), a bending guide arm (101), a feed adjustment mechanism (103), and a twisting mechanism (107). The bending guide arm (101) is arranged at an end of the binding machine body (105). A binding wire (b) is sent outside reinforcing bars (a) from the bending guide arm (101) and is formed into a loop, and then a portion of the loop is twisted by the twisting mechanism (107) so as to bind the reinforcing bars (a). The feed adjustment mechanism (107) adjusts a feed of the binding wire (b) according to one of a diameter of the reinforcing bars (a) and a diameter of the loop of the binding wire (b) wound round the reinforcing bars (a). <IMAGE>
