A transgenic animal and its progeny that vascular tissue-specifically express angiotensin II type 2 receptor; a method for producing said transgenic animal and its progeny; a recombinant gene for producing a transgenic animal, containing a promoter region derived from a protein gene expressed in vascular tissue and an angiotensin II type 2 receptor gene; a vascular tissue fragment or vascular cell derived from a transgenic animal that vascular tissue-specifically expresses angiotensin II type 2 receptor; a method for in vivo analyzing vascular physiological action and/or blood pressure-regulating action of angiotensin II type 2 receptor using said transgenic animal; and a method for in vitro analyzing vascular physiological action and/or blood pressure-regulating action of angiotensin II type 2 receptor using said vascular tissue fragment or vascular cell.
