PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously selectively boil rice to the desired hardness by as much as needed according to need and to simultaneously boil the rice to make boiled rice of two kinds of hardness without the need for deliberately separately boiling the rice when there are infants, aged men or woven, sick persons or persons desirous of eating the soft boiled rice among families. SOLUTION: Two sheets of partition plates bored with holes allowing the passage of water but prohibiting the passage of the rice over the entire surface are connected by a hinge 2 so as to be made freely openable and closable and are made usable by erecting the partition plates in the inner pot of a rice cooker. The portions at which the rice is desired to be dividedly boiled may be easily set by the opening and closing angle of the partition device.
