PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical light emitting folding umbrella to be produced easily and at a low cost. SOLUTION: The section of a rib 131 and a stretcher 130 of this umbrella is shaped as a U-shaped groove, and electric wires 14 to be extended along the rib 131 and the stretcher 130 are inserted into flexible protection tubes 150, 151 and stored in the U-shaped grooves of the rib 131 and the stretcher 130 respectively. And an electric wire 14 to be extended along a tip rib 132 is stored in a flexible protection tube 152 together with the tip rib 132.
