PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively hold an uneven surface of a protective layer by hot pressing the protective layer of a reversible heat-sensitive recording sheet having a reversible heat-sensitive recording layer and the protective layer on a base material through a protective film in the case of heating to fusion bond the sheet to a base sheet. SOLUTION: In the case of manufacturing a reversible heat-sensitive recording medium 9 by heating to fusion bond a reversible heat-sensitive recording sheet 1 having a reversible heat-sensitive recording layer 3 and a protective layer 2 on a base material 6 to a base sheet 4, the layer 2 of the medium 9 is hot pressed through a protective film 1 and heated to be fusion bonded. The film 1 having a Vicat softening point of 60 to 135 deg.C, and a Shore hardness of 30 to 80 is suitably used, and a polyethylene film or an ethylene-vinyl acetate film of films is suitably used. The layer 3 is constituted by containing a leuco dye, a color developing and reducing agent and a binder resin as main components, and is a layer for reversibly repeating color developing/ achromatizing by a heat. |
