PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of hammering phenomenon and to improve reliability of a device by a method wherein an air bubble subdividing means is situated at the upper part on the low pressure side of a fluid pump and large air bubbles in low pressure fluid are subdivided into small air bubbles. SOLUTION: A method and device for preventing the occurrence of hammering to a fluid pump prevent the occurrence of hammering by subdividing air bubbles 20 in fluid 42 by an air bubble subdividing means 40 situated at the upper part on the low pressure side 5 of a fluid pump 1 when the low pressure fluid 42 having viscosity of tens - hundreds centistokes is pressurized by a fluid pump 1.
