<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly determine a traveling distance of a traveling truck, even if a gap exists on a traveling rail. SOLUTION: By mounting a dolly truck 20 on an elevating/lowering base 16 of a stacker crane 2 and providing a pair of wheels 26, 26 for detection connected by gears, the numbers of revolution of the wheels 26, 26 for detection are encoded by an encoder 28. On the dolly truck 20, a transfer device using a chain conveyor is mounted and the conveyor is controlled by the encoder 28 by using a determined position of the truck 20. As a result, the position of the dolly truck 20 can be exactly determined, even if a gap exists between a rack 6 and the elevating/lowering base 16. Because a lifter is not required, the low dolly truck 20 can be obtained.</p> |
