PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing cord which is used for an air cushion and can realize the air cushion having excellent durability without generating a problem that wefts are broken on the molding and vulcanization of an air chamber, thereby without generating a problem comprising the dynamic peeling of fibers from a rubber due to the repeated bending and compression movements during the use of the air cushion and a failure problem comprising air leakage and burst caused by the dynamic peeling. SOLUTION: This reinforcing cord for an air cushion comprises a cord fabric comprising warps and wefts. Therein, the wefts have an elongation of >=80%, and the warps have a density of <=86%. The reinforcing cord for the air cushion is used as a cord for reinforcing a rubber membrane 3 for forming an air chamber 4.
