PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid removing device capable of increasing the efficiency of liquid removal. SOLUTION: In the liquid removing device 10, the shaft part of a nip roll l2 is formed hollow and steam is supplied into the inside of the shaft part. As a result, the temp. of a liquid stuck to a web 18 is increased to lower the viscosity at the time of removing water by the nip roll 12 and the efficiency of the liquid removal in the liquid removing device is increased. A rubber 16 lined on the nip roll 12 is set to have thin thickness of 0.5 to 5.0 mm to improve the heat conductivity and to increase compressive pressure.
