EMULSION STABILIZER, ITS USAGE AND PREPARATION CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject stabilizer capable of stabilizing for a long period an emulsion composed of a water-insoluble component and water-soluble component by mainly including a methyl acrylate/2-ethylhexyl acrylate copolymer resin emulsion. SOLUTION: This stabilizer consists mainly of a methyl acrylate/2-ethylhexyl acrylate copolymer resin emulsion (an emulsion of a copolymer resin prepared by aqueous solution polymerization between methyl acrylate and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate using polyoxyethylene nonylphenyl ether as emulsifier). Preferable usage of this stabilizer comprises admixture of the above emulsion before or after mixed suspension of a water-soluble component and water-insoluble component in the presence of a surfactant; preferably, both the components are emulsified and mixed together in the presence of the above emulsion and a surfactant. The amount of this stabilizer to be added to a preparation is effective even at <=2 wt.% or <=1 wt.%.
