PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate for decreased holding force equivalent to the amount by which a portion formed by holding lips of a welt part near a corner die forming part are crushed and deformed by the influence of a holding lip corresponding part of the corner die forming part. SOLUTION: A spacer 42 having a U-shaped cross section is previously formed integrally with a bridge part 41 for connection and engagement with an incomplete lip-shaped part 25 of a welt part 13 of a glass run vertical part 3 where holding lips 17, 18 are crushed and deformed by the influence of a holding lip corresponding part 22 of a corner die forming part 4. A lip part 42a of the spacer 42 faces the inside of the welt part 13, thereby providing functions equivalent to those of the holding lips 7, 18 of normal shapes in place of the incomplete lip-shaped part 25 crushed and deformed.
