PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for producing an elastic expandable composite sheet of relatively small basis weight. SOLUTION: A second elastic expandable web 42 is laid on a first web 41 made of a first stretchable continuous fibers 35 to overlap each other, and the first and second webs 41, 42 are joined together intermittently to obtain a first composite web 43. After the web 43 being stretched while the fibers 35 are deformed plastically, the web 43 is contracted elastically to obtain a second composite web 44. |
