PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To aim at the improvement of productivity and yield so as not to generate a gap in the adhesive-applied part of a prescribed pattern. SOLUTION: This method for producing a pleat-processed web is provided by false-joining 11 an objective web 1 with a heat shrinkable web 2 at a joining strength peeling off on its heat shrinking for making one unit, penetrating an adhesive applied in a prescribed pattern from the outside of the unified material 12 for pattern-joining the objective web 1 with the heat shrinkable web 2 of the unified material 12 with the adhesive-applied parts having the prescribed pattern and then heating the pattern-joined material 14 at a heat- shrinking temperature of the heat shrinkable web 2 or higher to perform the heat shrinking and heat setting.
