PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a minus ion generator which does not generate ozone injurious against human bodies and is suitable for underwear, socks and the like, by using synthetic fibers kneaded with the powder of a spontaneously polarizing substance and the powder of an exciting agent as at least a part of a cloth using spun yarns. SOLUTION: Synthetic fibers, such as polyester fibers, kneaded with the powder of a spontaneously polarizing substance 15 such as tourmaline and with the powder of an exciting agent 16 for exciting the substance 15 to generate minus ions, such as a natural ore, for example, davidite, are prepared. The yarns of the synthetic fibers or their blended yarns with other spun yarns are used as at least a part of a cloth formed from spun yarns such as chemical yarns or natural yarns, at least a part of the pile yarns of a pile fabric, at least a part of the knitting yarns of a knitted fabric, or the like, to obtain the minus ion-generator.
