PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printer having a nozzle block comprising a combination of a plurality of nozzle units and recording an image by forming ink dots on a print medium with ink drops ejected from the nozzle block in which image quality of the print image is enhanced. SOLUTION: In a nozzle block, a plurality of nozzle units are overlapped in the main scanning direction and located at a position shifted by about one half of the positional period of ink ejection characteristics occurring naturally due to structure of the nozzle unit. Nozzle position of adjacent nozzle units in the main scanning direction may be shifted by about one half of the nozzle pitch in the sub-scanning direction or may be aligned.
