PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vacuum cleaner which facilitates attaching and detaching of a dust collecting body provided within a dust collecting chamber and prevents the breakage of tight packing and the dust collecting body. SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner is provided with a dust collecting chamber 3 attachably and detachably provided with a dust collecting body 6 having a mouth frame 7, an insertion part 2 formed at the chamber 3 to have a hose 11 inserted detachably, and a tight packing 10 having an annular part 10a to be fitted to the part 2 and a thin film 10b to be abutted on the frame 7 and bellows 10d energizing the film 10b to the side of the part 10a. When the hose 11 is inserted to the part 2, the film 10b of the tight packing 10 is abutted on the frame 7 and when the hose 11 is pulled out from the part 2, the film 10b is separated from the frame 7 by energizing of the bellows 10d.
