PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice washing machine in common use for washing fruits and vegetables which is capable of washing both of the fruits and the vegetables, is free from the degradation in functions by an error in setting parts and is usable even in the drain part of the sink. SOLUTION: This rice washing machine has a rice washing container 1 which has drain holes 11a' at its bottom, a water ejection nozzle 2 which opens at the center in the bottom of the rice washing container 1, a water flow guide pipe 3 which is pendently disposed apart a spacing above the water ejection nozzle 2 in the rice washing container by a supporting vanes 31, a member 4 which changes over the drain holes 11a' to a closing state and an opening state and a lid 6 which covers the aperture of the rice washing container 1. At the time of rice washing, the water flow guide pipe 3 is set and the drain holes 11a' are changed over to the opening state. At the time of washing the fruits and vegetables, the water flow guide pipe 3 is removed and the drain holes 11a' are changed over to the closing state.
