PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To feed at least two plates to a plate feeding machine in a stacked space-saving manner. SOLUTION: A one plate suction device 41 arranged adjacent to a work table 19 of a plate working device 1 is lowered to separate one plate W from plates stacked on a pallet at a lower position and lift it. A stacking table 69 retreated to a retreat position ST1 in an upper space of the work table 19 which has not been utilized so far is moved to the stacking position ST2 below the one plate suction device 41, the plate W of the one plate suction device 41 is placed on the stacking table 69, and the stacking table is moved again to the retreat position ST1. The one plate suction device 41 is again lowered to lift one plate on the pallet, and this plate W is stacked again on the plate on the stacking table 69 moved to the stacking position ST2. The stacking table 69 is lowered to the plate feed position ST3 substantially as high as the work table 19, and the stacked plates on the stacking table 69 are clamped by a loader unit and fed to the working table 19.
