PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilating and fire-preventive structure of an eave soffit necessitating no replacement of a component of a fire damper, but permitting reuse thereof. SOLUTION: In a ventilating and fire-preventive structure of an eave soffit 21 for ventilation and fire-preventive shielding of the back side 29 of eaves by a fire damper 10, the fire damper 10 is provided with a fixed plate 102 and a slide plate 11 put on each other and the slide plate 11 is positioned by a spring 13 and a shape memory alloy spring 12 provided in the opposite end parts in the sliding direction. The respective ventilation holes 103 and 111 of the fixed plate 102 and the slide plate 11 are positioned normally at the same positions, and when a fire breaks out, the shape memory alloy spring 12 operates to make the slide plate 11 shield the ventilation holes 103 of the fixed plate 102, at a temperature of 90 deg.C, while the slide plate 11 is made to return to the normal position at a temperature of 50 deg.C. |
