<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball which has a favorable hitting feeling and a favorable hitting sound, is excellent in durability, and has favorable flying distance characteristics. SOLUTION: This solid golf ball of a multi-layer structure of four layers or more is equipped with a core 1, a surrounding layer 2 to cover the core 1, an intermediate layer 3 to cover the surrounding layer 2, and a cover 4 to cover the intermediate layer 3. In such a solid golf ball, the core 1 is formed of a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic elastomer as the major material. At the same time, the diameter is 3 to 18 mm, and the Shore D hardness is 50 to 95. Also, the surrounding layer 2 is formed of a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic elastomer as the major material.</p> |
