PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the carrying power of the whole carrying body in a conveyor device such as a moving sidewalk comprising the carrying body consisting of a plurality of endlessly connected pallets along a carrying passage by providing carrying means for carrying the carrying body on straight parts in the front and rear of a curved part of the carrying passage. SOLUTION: An endless carrying body 3 formed by connecting adjacent pallets 1 through a connection rod 2 is circulated and carried along a carrying passage formed of straight parts and curved parts. Drive chains 4a, 4b are provided on the straight part just before the carrying body 3 gets into the curved part and the straight part just after the carrying body 3 leaves the curved part, respectively. The drive chains 4a, 4b are endlessly formed, and laid between drive pulleys 5a, 5b and driven pulleys 6a, 6b, respectively. The drive pulleys 5a, 5b are driven by a common drive shaft 9 through a gear box 8 by a drive motor 7.
