PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize technology by which temperature range of a weld zone during welding operation is discriminated in order to stably obtain a good welding result. SOLUTION: The resistance welding equipment is provided with a device which calculates a work resistance at least twice within each energizing period, performs arithmetic operation for the differences in the work resistances and compares the difference with a threshold thereby discriminating the temperature range of the weld zone. The temperature range where the temperature at the weld zone exists is discriminated during welding operation.
