PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lid for a cooking pot which uses heat in food preparation and allows rapid draining in correspondence to noodles of different sizes without allowing the boiled noodles to flow out of the pan. SOLUTION: This lid includes a lid body 11 which closes an aperture 2 of the cooking pot 1 using heat and engaging parts 20 (first to third engaging projections 21 to 23) which are attachably and detachably engaged with the aperture 2. One of the half regions of a region closing the aperture 2 of the lid body 11 is pierced with plural first holes 13 having the same hole diameter and the other is pierced with plural second holes 14 having the same hole diameter different form the hold diameter of the first holes. As a result, the rapid draining in correspondence to the noodles varying in sizes is made possible without allowing the boiled noodles to flow out of the pot.
