PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit synergic effect between width adjustment and wind resistance and earthquake resistance of a roof tile, by adjusting an overlap width of a head crawling piece and a tail covering piece, and an overlap width of a head covering piece and a tail crawling piece, to thereby make adjustable an engaging width of a tail incision of the roof tile and another roof tile. SOLUTION: A roof tile 1 has a tail incision 111 and a head incision 112 formed therein, and the tail incision 111 is provided with a thin-walled tail crawling piece 2. Further, a width adjusting notch 3 is formed along a notch formed at an pantile-side 1d edge of a tail incision shoulder 113, and a thin-walled tail covering piece 4 is arranged by boring the rear side of the notch 3. A head crawling piece 5' which is arranged on one side of a head incision 112' of another roof tile 1' toward an insertion side 1c, crawls below the tail covering piece 4. Further, the tail crawling piece 2 is covered with a head covering piece 6' which is arranged by boring the rear side of the insertion side 1c connected to the head incision 112' of the roof tile 1'. Thus, synergic effect between width adjustment and wind resistant effect and earthquake resisting effect can be exhibited, and this simple structure can implement the width adjustment, wind resistant effect, and earthquake resisting effect.
