PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent local sand deposition in a water intake port and harbor necessary for securing constant water depth by installing a pile group erecting a number of piles at constant intervals on the water bottom of a position in which the waves and flow of a port entrance coexist. SOLUTION: A sand deposition prevention construction 10 is positioned on the land side edge part of a ship course 5, and installed in arrangement shielding floating sand. The sand deposition prevention construction 10 constitutes a number of piles 11 arranged in a plurality of rows along the ship course 5 of a pile group erected in zigzag at constant intervals. The sand deposition prevention construction 10 shields the floating sand carried by beach flow, and interrupts a part of inflow to the ship course. Since continuous flow directing to the direction of a harbor interior and waves coexist, large scouring action occurs between the piles 11, the deposition of the floating sand does not occur at the position of the sand deposition prevention construction 10, and thus deposition to the ship course can be prevented. Thereby sand deposition can be prevented on a part easy to produce local sand deposition, and the burial prevention of the ship course or the like due to sand deposition can be contrived.
