PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate handling of a surgeon during fixing of a holding device on a bar. SOLUTION: This spinal column holding device has a fixing means to a vertebra. In addition, it is provided with a base seat 2 for a bar 3, the bar 3 is provided on a side surface of the holding device, and the bar 3 is deflected from the fixing means. In addition, the holding device is provided with a means to generate tight connection of the holding device to the bar 3 positioned on the base seat 2. This device has a means 4 to keep the bar 3 on the base seat 2, this means 4 is connected to the holding device, the bar 3 to be introduced into the base seat 2 is temporarily held in the base seat 2, and the holding device is finally fixed by the means to generate tight connection.
