PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a can coating, particularly a coating for a can inner face having an excellent combination of adhesive properties to a metal plate, workability, curability, suppressed elution and the resistance to retorting sterilization process. SOLUTION: A can coating comprises (A) a thermoplastic polyester resin having an acid value of not more than 15, a hydroxy number of not more than 20 and a number average molecular weight of at least 11,000, and (B) a heat curable resin, wherein a weight ratio of the (A) component/the (B) component is 90/10-55/45, and the heat curable resin comprises a combination of a heat curable melamine resin and a heat curable resin other than the melamine resin.
